Ok I am a graphic designer and use the adobe creative suite and macromedia flash/dreamweaver with just a little 3d work thrown in for good measure.
I use my pc alot for my work for browsing and as a media centre. What I really want is a decent graphic design friendly desktop x screen.
There should be little or no "always-on-top" real estate used when in programs maybe an objectdock or objectbar could be involved to slide out from being hidden.
I like to keep things organised with apps seperated into different sections in a quicklaunch popup from which I navigate different app folders. Something like this is indespensable as it saves so much time.
A recently accessed docs section is always good but something special would be more than one recently accessed docs with different lists for different program groups e.g. Graphics Docs, 3d docs, office docs etc.
A current projects panel which could link to different folders and maybe even have a thumbnail browser would be good.
Notes (notice the plural) are always useful as ideas need to be jotted down.
Most of all it needs to look good in an understated and easy to read way. Simple sans serif fonts. Neutral colours i like grey shades.
Can anyone think of anything else that would be useful? Is anyone willing to take up the challenge?
Thanks for reading this far if you managed to understand the babble. Feedback is always a good thing.
